VIDEO Samples

Updated: May 20, 2021

To comply with my non-disclosure agreement, I have omitted and obfuscated confidential information in this case study. All information in this case study is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of my client.

Challenge: The challenge was to create bite-sized lessons. The lessons were to be recorded and edited using Camtasia. They were to be compressed using the Handbrake Software and then uploaded to the YouTube Channel (playlists are provided below). The length of each video should ideally be 10 minutes.

Solution: Using my Instructional Design skills, I planned the curriculum and learning outcomes. After these were approved, I planned each video so that they had their learning outcomes aligned with their content. The related assessment items were emailed to the students. The videos were uploaded to YouTube. Students would comment and discuss issues using the commenting section in YouTube.

Design Features: The following are the main workflow processes:

  1. Each video lesson was storyboarded in a Power Point template (see image below)

  2. Editing involved adding Intro and Outro video clips to the timeline in Camtasia, and also zooming into the video where necessary. Company logo was added to all videos.

  3. After rendering the video, it was compressed using Handbrake using provided presets.

  4. The video was uploaded with tags, description and other details to YouTube.

Successful Project Samples:

Programming Videos: Using the Notepad Utility Tool in my computer, I taught programming courses. The lessons were designed with a goal in mind. Exercises for students were explained in the end of the videos.

Business Videos: I taught several E-Commerce lessons. Using Wix.com I taught students how to create a shopping cart website to sell their items. I also helped them develop e-portfolios that served as their electronic resume. I also taught how to create effective business plans.

The following are the videos I have developed to teach programming languages and business courses:
